Hey everyone! We have a whole slew of superfoods for our vision: Goji Berry Powder for zeaxanthin, Kale Juice Powder for lutein, Carrot Juice Powder, Phycocyanin, our Fermented Astaxanthin, and Acai and Maqui.
1. Goji Berry Powder & Goji Berries
Our Goji Berry Powder has more zeaxanthin than any other food in existence. That’s 50 times more than orange bell peppers (the next best source) and over 250 times more than corn.
Zeaxanthin and lutein build up in the macula and form a yellow pigment filter. It’s densest in the fovea, the part of the retina responsible for our sharpest central vision. This pigment absorbs high-energy blue light like a natural pair of sunglasses inside the eye, and it protects the delicate cone cells from blue light and oxidative stress. If we don’t get enough zeaxanthin, the pigment thins and becomes less able to protect the cones.
In a 90-day trial, adults aged 45–65 who ate goji berries five times a week significantly increased their macular pigment density. Those taking a lutein/zeaxanthin supplement didn’t. Goji berries also contain LBPs (Lycium barbarum polysaccharides), unique to goji. In one study, goji extract protected eye cells from oxidative stress and reduced lipofuscin, the “age pigment” that builds up in the retina.
One teaspoon of the powder gives you all the zeaxanthin you need in a day, and I’d take a heaping teaspoon to cover your bases. The powder is over twice as concentrated as dried berries: one teaspoon equals about 34 berries.

2. Kale Juice Powder
Kale has more lutein than any other food in existence, double that of spinach. Our truly raw Kale Juice Powder is a 45:1 concentration, so one teaspoon contains a whopping 26 mg of lutein. The gold-standard NIH study (AREDS2) used 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxanthin a day.
Lutein and zeaxanthin work together to form the macular pigment, filtering blue light, reducing glare and protecting retinal cells from oxidative stress. Take one teaspoon of Kale Juice Powder with one teaspoon of Goji Berry Powder (over 3 mg of zeaxanthin), and you have the top two foods in existence for lutein and zeaxanthin, well beyond your daily needs.

3. Carrot Juice Powder
We’ve always been told to eat our carrots for our eyes because of the vitamin A. Carrot juice is the richest natural source of vitamin A, in a form the body quickly assimilates, along with vitamins B, C, D, E, G and K.
Dr. Norman Walker wrote that “carrot juice nourishes the optic system particularly.” He told of young men who were rejected as pilots for defective eyesight, drank an abundance of fresh raw carrot juice for a few weeks, and then passed their eye exams. Since taking our Carrot Juice Powder in fairly high doses, my vision has become sharper than it has been in years, and I can read small writing I couldn’t before.

4. Phycocyanin Extract
Phycocyanin is the bright blue antioxidant extracted from Spirulina. One customer wrote, “My partner’s eyesight is getting better, and so is mine!”
In studies, phycocyanin protected healthy lens cells by scavenging free radicals and chelating harmful metals, and it reduced the processes behind lens clouding. In one rat study, scientists tried to cloud the animals’ lenses with harsh chemicals, but the phycocyanin group kept clear lenses, with higher glutathione, better hydration and more soluble lens proteins. Our eyes are under attack from UV rays, screens and pollutants, and phycocyanin is a shield.

5. Fermented Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is structurally very similar to zeaxanthin but has around 10 times its antioxidant power, and it has been shown to cross the blood-retinal barrier. In human research it has been studied for eye fatigue, visual accommodation, retinal blood flow and dry eye. For me, I feel more focus, power and health behind my eyes.

6. Acai & Maqui Berry Powders
Acai and Maqui are among the richest foods in anthocyanins, antioxidants that support vision and night vision as well as keeping the brain sharp.
