OMG! I’m not believing you got these toothbrushes!! I had one of these YEARS ago and wore it out and couldn’t find anyplace to replace it. I absolutely LOVED it, and it did everything you say it does!! I couldn’t order one fast enough and several brush head replacements to last me a while, hopefully. Please continue to sell these. Matt, thank you to you and your family for ‘always’ finding innovative products. It is truly appreciated more than you know. I was telling my husband the other day how much I love that you find these products for the betterment of health. I have to share, Angela sounds like myself with my first use of the ionic toothbrush. I purchased only one for myself as I am the guinea pig in my family. I kept saying wow, wow, wow so much to my husband in the other room he started laughing. I love this toothbrush. I have now purchased one for my husband and son and we love them. Maybe pre-emptive, but I actually canceled the six-month cleaning for my teenage son because why spend the money? His teeth are pretty good and the checkup is routine. After his brushing. honestly, he doesn’t need to go. I believe we sometimes get so used to following guidelines of what we ‘have-to’ for checkups that we forget they are suggestions. As the Dr Tungs company said, the battery can last up to two years. I feel that Dr Tungs was over-advertising the battery life a bit. While the battery can certainly last two years or more depending on usage frequency and storage conditions, the official specification states that with about 15 minutes of brushing per day, the battery will last for over a year.
Additionally, even if the battery continues to function beyond a year, prolonged use can cause wear and tear on the brush head attachment point, potentially causing brush heads to loosen. For optimal performance, the company recommends replacing the handle after about one year.
The good news is, that the battery doesn’t start declining until you start using the product. Therefore, if you get a 3-pack, just keep the unused toothbrushes in the original packaging and keep it in an air conditioned house. The one year battery life won’t start to degrade until you start using the toothbrush.
