Ojai Persimmons 12-Pack
Hey Everyone!
Here is what Jonathan a customer wrote just last week: “Your Ojai (a beautiful town btw) persimmons got me spoiled as they were the first ones I’ve ever had. I bought some on Amazon and quite frankly they sucked, and almost might as well have been a different food product. It actually annoyed me that someone might eat these cheap persimmons and form a prejudicial view based on those and never try them again because when they are good they are seriously some of the best food ever as you well know.”
These come from the tall, ripe, Wet Hachiya variety, widely known as the sweetest and most prized type of persimmon when allowed to fully ripen — which is a huge part of why these are so incredibly rich and honey-like.
Let me explain why there are no better dried persimmons in the world compared to these.
This Persimmon Farmer personally takes his Ojai Ripe Wet Hachiya Persimmons — harvested at peak ripeness when they are often literally dripping with natural sweetness — and drives them all the way down to the Arizona Desert in order to dry them. Because these persimmons are so incredibly soft and syrupy when ripe, they are much more difficult to dry than typical fruit, which is why this careful traditional process is so important.
As you can see in the picture below, he then meticulously strings each Persimmon up individually in the Arizona sun, strategically spacing them so the thick, ultra-sweet fruit can dry slowly and evenly without spoiling. fC0A

Next, he drives them all the way back to Ojai, California. You end up with the most decadent sun-dried persimmons in the world — unbelievably rich, naturally sweet, soft, chewy, and truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
I can only get them at one time of the year…
These persimmons are an absolute delicacy.
Just so you can see how amazing these persimmons are, a customer posted two pictures of our Ojai Sun-Dried Persimmons on his Instagram account awhile back.
Here are the customers pics below. Look at the second one where he bites into it: fC0A

This is exactly what you will be getting.
Keep in mind, that the Ojai Farmer literally just dried these a couple of months and brought them back from the Arizona desert recently.
They are as fresh as can be, and this is the only time of the year we can get them.
It doesn’t get better than this!
Here is a video on Youtube that we created on these persimmons years and years ago with the farmer if you are interested in seeing it. The farmer explains it all here. g
Thanks everyone for your support!
Sincerely,
Matt
