Greetings from Matt Monarch! *”There can be no thinking without phosphorus.”* y8>
I’ve been getting into reading *old school* books from natural doctors from the *1800’s…* The three following excerpts are from a book called *”Food and Character”*, by *Dr. Louis Berman*. This book is *impossible* to find online, but I was able to get it from a library to where you can borrow it for *14 days* in the form of an ebook at the link here.
As you can see in the excerpt below, the term *”Without phosphorus, no thoughts”* was *coined* by Justus Von Liebig and Jacob Moleschotte: y8> Liebig
was considered to be the founder of organic chemistry and was known as one of the greatest chemistry teachers of all time. e
*devised* the modern laboratory-oriented teaching method and he
*popularized* an earlier invention for condensing vapors, which is the
*major* component of a water distiller.
As you can *see* from this excerpt below, they came to this *”No Phosphorus No Thoughts”* conclusion, because the chemistry of the brain has a high content of phosphorus, and is *mostly* conjoined with lecithins: y8>
The
brain is 85% water and the most important elements of the brain must not be soluble in water. The *main* elements in the brain that are *not* soluble in water would be *lecithin* as seen in the first paragraph below. What’s *also* interesting as stated in the second paragraph below, the lecithins increase *proportionately* in the brain with the more *learned* *(smarter)*

*another* old school book by Dr Raymond W. Bernard here he *states*, *”Dr. Evans, an English physiologist, has presented the interesting idea that thinking is merely a phase of phosphorus metabolism in the brain, which recalls the saying of German biochemists, “Ohne Phosphor keine Gedanken” (Without phosphorus, no thought). Evans states
that during thinking and mental exertion, phosphates are increased in the excreta; and he therefore concludes that thinking involves an oxidation of phosphorus compounds in the brain.”* What he is saying that when we are mentally exerted, there is more phosphorous present in our urine and feces. He *concludes* that phosphorus is *needed* for our thoughts, because it’s being *utilized* when we’re mentally exerted.
If you remember my article, The Number One Spiritual Nutrient,
I started getting into the *physics* about how phosphorous may be the main element needed for our spiritual abilities and thoughts! I was *literally* *blown* away as I started finding all this research, which helped further confirm my theories.
The book *goes on *to say,
*”The gray matter of the brain contains 17% lecithin, which is the essential and indispensable medium through which the higher intellectual
processes manifest themselves. The greater the purity in which lecithin is found, the higher the intelligence of the animal, even in insects. The superior acuteness displayed, for instance, by bees and ants, is due to this fact. y8>
The quality of these highly organized phosphorus compounds (i.e., lecithin) appears to be vitally connected with the intellectual capacity of the brain. In idiocy and insanity there is a qualitative and quantitative diminution of brain lecithin.”*
In the *1800’s*, Jean Louis *Lassaigne* found a decreased quantity of lecithin in the white brain matter of the insane. Commenting on this subject, *Fischer*, a French biochemist, states:* “The content of the brain in combined lipoids seems, then, to have some relation to intellectual power and to its modifications as well.”* Lecithin is soluble in alcohol and dissolves in it’s presence, so it may be good to limit your alcohol and refined sugar intake, which forms alcohol as it’s digested. Lecithin is *readily* combustible when it combines with the oxygen in our blood, and it contains a *large* amount of stored potential energy. Since it has a negative *spin* unlike other elements, it can *sustain* itself and produce *ceaseless* activities of the brain and nervous system, as well as the respiratory organs, through its *oxidation*, which releases nerve
electricity. *Furthermore,* it’s not *only* a prominent constituent of
nerve and brain tissue but *also* of the endocrine glands, and is as *necessary* to the nutrition of the latter as it is of the former. It is also a *precursor* to phospholipids that make up our cell membranes and a *precursor* to the brains main neurotransmitter acetylcholine. is my recommendation to *replenish* lecithin on an ongoing basis. I have personally been taking *two teaspoons* once or twice a day. I’m pretty *extreme*, so you may want to start out with *1-2 teaspoons *per day.
I have *also* been putting our sunflower lecithin in my pili nut “chocolate” *and* cashew cheese recipes, because it acts as an *emulsifier*, which enables the *fat* and *water* to mix. I feel that it is the best tasting and *healthiest* raw food recipe thickener on the market.
