Olivico Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Olive Pastes

Hey everyone! I know it can be difficult to find a truly high-quality olive oil you can actually trust. Well… this is it. Olivico’s Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a true gourmet oil – incredibly fresh, green, grassy and flavorful, with a wonderful peppery finish that lingers. This isn’t an olive oil that sits quietly in the background. You taste it.

1. The Peppery Finish and Polyphenols

That strong, peppery sensation isn’t just what makes this oil taste gourmet – it’s characteristic of the naturally occurring polyphenols in high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Polyphenols have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and research comparing high-polyphenol olive oils with lower-polyphenol oils has found improvements in markers of oxidative stress, oxidized LDL, cholesterol and other cardiovascular risk factors. You’re not just looking for an oil that tastes good; you want one that delivers a substantial amount of these compounds with every serving. → See Cardiovascular Health.

2. From Their Own Farm

Olivico isn’t a company bottling anonymous olive oil. It comes from their own farm in Pucusana, Peru, with more than 4,000 olive trees. The olives are hand-picked at the right point of maturity, and the oil is made from their own olives – a specific farm, a specific origin and a real story. It’s really reminiscent of many oils you find in Tuscany. I specifically waited for the newest batch and had it shipped immediately, so you get it as fresh as possible.

3. Award and Quality Testing

Olivico has been awarded the BIOL Prize for the world’s best organic extra virgin olive oil. BIOL is dedicated specifically to organic EVOOs and judges them with laboratory analysis plus an international panel of expert tasters – in 2025, more than 500 oils were entered. The latest batch tested at just 0.53% acidity with a peroxide index below 16. Low acidity and a low peroxide value are signs of a fresh, well-produced oil that hasn’t undergone much oxidation.

4. Olive Pastes

Olivico’s Black Olive Paste is made from their Black Botija olives, and both the black and green pastes are blended with oregano, rosemary and thyme for a rich, savory flavor. Spread them on crackers or bread, serve them as an appetizer, add them to vegetables, or use them as a base for a healthy pizza, pasta or sauce. For their whole olives, see Peruvian Olives.

How to Use It

That bold, peppery flavor gives salads, fresh vegetables, avocado, pasta, roasted vegetables and even a simple piece of crusty bread a deep, vibrant taste you don’t get from a mild, ordinary oil. It can transform even the simplest foods into something incredibly satisfying.
